New in Fred Dispense Plus
Fred Dispense Plus automatically applies both software and drug updates. No user intervention is required, but please ensure that your server PC is always switched on as automatic updates are applied outside of business hours.
MultiPack Pricing
MultiPack pricing can now be configured for Drugs and Own Brand Drugs for pharmacies without a head office.
To configure, select Administration > Drugs.
Once a Private, Schedule 3R or PBS Under-Co Payment price has been entered, the MultiPack pricing configuration will be enabled.
In the example below, a Private Price has been entered, so the Multipack pricing button is enabled.
Click on the M button to open the Multipack pricing grid and configure the MultiPack pricing for the selected drug.
This MultiPack pricing will be automatically applied during dispensing when the quantity is changed (where applicable).
The pricing tile will change to a darker blue when Multipack pricing is available for the selected drug.
Clicking on the pricing tile or in the patient price field will display the MultiPack pricing configured for the selected drug.
Stock Group
You can now assign drugs to a Stock Group. This can be done manually from:

Administration > Drugs

Administration > Own Brand Drugs
Alternatively, you can also assign drugs to a stock group in bulk using the Manage Stock Groups screen.
To access from the Wait Screen, select Activities > More Options > Manage Stock Groups.
New Dispense Options
New options have been added to the Administration > Dispense Options screen.
Import/Export Drug Specifics (excludes Fred NXT Office)
You can now import and export FDE files in Fred Dispense Plus. The properties that you can import, and export include:

Private Price

PBS Under-Co Price

Schedule 3 Price

Generic Notes

Drug Ranking
To enable Import/Export Drug Specifics:

Select Administration > Dispense Options.

Under Import/Export Drug Specifics, select Yes.
Once enabled, the Import Drug Specifics and Export Drug Specifics menu options will be available from the Wait Screen under Activities > More Options.
Insufficient Stock on hand alert (Fred Office and Fred NXT Office
You now have the option to configure a prompt to display if there is insufficient stock on hand for the item you are dispensing.
To enable the Insufficient Stock on hand alert:

Select Administration > Dispense Options.

Under Alerts, select Yes.
Make generic options appear first in drug search
You now have the option to configure the drug search results so that generic options display first (if the search returns both brand results and generic results).
To display generic options first:

Select Administration > Dispense Options.

Under Drug Search, select Yes.

Scan Check - multiple packs
An issue where the Scanned packs count wasn’t increasing when performing Scan Check for multiple packs has been resolved.
Drug Reports
An issue where drug reports would show multiple lines for the same drug under certain circumstances has been resolved.
Patient Drug Duplicate prompt
An issue where Fred Dispense Plus was incorrectly prompting users with the Patient Drug Duplicate prompt for the same medication but different forms has now been resolved.
Repeats - migrated private scripts
An issue where repeats for migrated private scripts were pricing at $0.00 when the script details were loaded.
